TRAINING WEEKS
Training Weeks
Train where Europe's next great cycling destination is waiting to be discovered.
If you're looking for big climbing, quiet roads, spectacular scenery and mile after mile of uninterrupted riding, the Peloponnese is one of Europe's best-kept secrets.
Imagine the mountains of the Alps, the coastal roads of Mallorca and the sunshine of southern Europe—but without the traffic, crowds or endless cyclists. It's no surprise that professionals including Mark Cavendish and Wout van Aert have chosen to train here, and Cyclist magazine has featured Greece on its cover several times in recent years.
Our routes combine challenging climbs, fast coastal roads and rewarding descents through landscapes that have changed little for centuries. Coffee stops overlook ancient theatres, harbours and mountain villages, while swims in the sea and long lunches in local tavernas provide the perfect recovery before the next day's ride.
Whether you're preparing for a sportive, a multi-day challenge or simply want to become a stronger rider, we'll tailor each day's route to your goals, fitness and ambition. Ride as hard as you like, knowing every day ends back at our villa overlooking the sea in Ancient Epidaurus.
Chris has spent a lifetime cycling around the world, competing for Great Britain at the amateur World Championships, riding in more than 80 countries and becoming the oldest Briton to climb Mont Ventoux six times in 24 hours. Throughout the week he'll happily share the lessons, training ideas and practical experience he's gathered from decades on the bike.
Ride six days—or take a well-earned rest whenever you choose. Every morning starts with breakfast overlooking the sea before heading out onto some of the finest roads in Europe. Every afternoon ends the same way: tired legs, a swim in crystal-clear water and the satisfaction of another exceptional day's riding.
DATES / AVAILABILITY
We welcome cyclists in the Spring and Autumn months, when most tourists are at home, but the sun is out, meaning we always hope to enjoy great weather and quiet conditions. Our breaks start on each Saturday, but we can generally accommodate arrivals and departures on any day, for a stay of any number of nights within each week. Autumn 2026 dates - 19th September - 31st October / Spring 2027 dates - 10th April - 11th June.
ROUTES
We can arrange a break and routes around exactly what you want to do; tough or recovery cycling, coffee stops at ancient sites, quiet routes and plenty of local healthy Mediterranean food at our local tavernas etc. Our best routes involve a minimum of 80km+ a day and a 1,000m of climbing but we can do whatever the group (or individual) would like, on a daily basis. Shorter/half-day rides - or longer with more climbing - we can climb 1,000m straight out of the door from our base!
All weeks include amazing coastal roads and hillside climbs, a ride to an island and a loop around it, to Nafplio - the first capital of Greece, Methana Volcano, over the oldest standing bridge in the world, a 12,000-seat amphitheatre and the best bakeries, taverns and coffee shops of the Peloponnese.
